Scholarships and Awards

Dallas County Aggie Moms conduct fundraising activities throughout the year in order to provide scholarships to deserving students from Dallas County.

Recipients are chosen by the Texas A&M Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. The office considers freshmen who applied for scholarship assistance through the admissions process and sophomores through seniors who submit the scholarship application for continuing students. Check with the the office to learn more about applications and deadlines.  (https://scholarships.tamu.edu/Apply-for-Scholarships)

We are proud to announce that with funds raised during the 2021-22 school year, we donated $10,000 to student organizations, $5000 was awarded as scholarships, and $500 funded a Corps Leadership Award. In addition, due to the success of our Century Celebration in February, we were able to create and fund $17,777 of a new $25,000 endowed gift that will help support the Aggie Experience Fund.

We currently have fully funded endowments that support seven students through a President’s Endowed Scholarship, an Endowed Opportunity Award, three additional scholarships, and a Sul Ross Scholarship, which is awarded to a member of the Corps of Cadets. Our 7th endowed scholarship pledge was fully funded in May, 2020. DCAM relies on TAMU to award and administer theses scholarships through its usual university-wide scholarship applications.
