Since 1931 there has always been at least one female member of the Corps of Cadets.  Her name has been respected
and her honor held high.  The lady's name is Reveille.  Texas A&M mascots have not always been registered
Collies.  Reveille I was a stray, small black and white dog.  She was dubbed Reveille.  When the Band
took the field at half time of her first football game, Reveille headed the march and performed as if she
were the featured entertainer.  She won the hearts of the crowd, just as she had the students,
and her performance earned her the title of Official Mascot of TAMU.

Reveille is maintained by one Corps Unit, Company E-2, with one sophomore cadet
being responsible for her care during the year.  Reveille spends the summer with her new master
for the upcoming year so that both may become better acquainted.
